Hey everyone,
New to this site and to raising chickens. The local feed and supply store was running a special in where you purchase a 10 lbs. bag of chick feed you get 5 free chicks. Went ahead and bought 5 more just in case. The problem was the seller did not know the breeds of the chicks other than the Rhode Island Reds. I've identified another breed as Barred Rocks but the other 2 breeds are unknown at this time. Out of the 10 I believe there are 3 roosters and I'm basing this on the color and size of the incoming combs. Going over to the other forum to post pics of the 2 unknowns.

and Welcome To BYC! Good luck with the new chicks! Ya, feed stores often don't know what they have or got in, it is often a guessing game. You might also like to check out the Nevada state thread for chicken neighbors.
