New member in Southern Oregon

Hello, All! Glad to be a member and excited to have people to talk "chicken" to! I have 2 small boys and we just decided to raise chicks. We got 4 chicks when they were a couple days old and they are now about eight weeks old. They are: 1 black austrolorp, 2 buff orpingtons, and 1 americauna. My husband isn't too thrilled about having chickens, but he is coming around. I grew up in San Jose and desperately desire to live the farm life!

Once your hubby sees how cute those girls are when they start scratching and clucking, and when he gets a few fried eggs for breakfast, he'll be on-board! My guy wasn't so sure at first, but he's a believer now!
