Hello All!
I figured as much as I use this site, I might as well get myself registered!
Per the handy dandy intro questionnaire:
1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
VERY NEW. I raised my 3 hens from chicks; they’re about 5 months old now. I also have a duck (looking to add more).
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 3
(3) What breeds do you have? Golden buff, New Hampshire red and Rhode Island Red; 1 mouthy Pekin duck
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Getting to know their personalities.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
We just moved to a small acreage and have been working on building our tiny farm.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a speech therapist who lives with one wife, one niece, 3 dogs, 3 chickens, and one pekin duck (it used to be 2 ducks, but her partner passed suddenly very recently). We live out in the country in SW Washington.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I’ve been returning frequently to the BYC threads and blog posts to read about how to navigate chicken and duck raising.
