Welcome! I grew up in upstate New York, about 20 minutes outside Rochester. Glad to see you here!Hi everyone! Joining from rural upstate NY where I've been lurking BYC for a few months now. My partner bought a home on 15 acres and I started renovating an old shed on the property into a large coop. Naturally when we walked into Tractor Supply I fell in love and bought the chicks before the coop was finished, figuring it would kick my butt into gear and give me 6~ weeks to get everything in order. Thanks to all your recommendations, I've got solid headway on the coop and it should be finished in a week or so. My 14 feathered children are looking forward to it!
So far, I have:
1- Ayam Cemani roo from craigslist
1- Ayam Cemani hen from craigslist
4ish- EE pullets (unclear if one is actually an EE)
1- ISA Brown (not sure if this is a pullet or cockerel, she was in the pullet bin but has a significant comb)
1- unidentified red pullet(?)
2- white cochin banties - unsexed
2- sebright banties - unsexed
1- silkie unsexed
1-booted bantam unsexed
I'll be posting pictures soon to get some help ID'ing the breeds and genders.
