New member in Vermont!

Hi all! Just joined the forum. I don't have any chickens yet, but I have them on the brain for sure! I never thought I would like chickens, until my mom ended up with a pet rooster a few years ago, then of course he needed a hen or two to keep him company... we just couldn't resist, and somehow ended up with a flock of 18! And they really amazed me with their unique personalities and antics. Well I haven't had chickens since I moved out on my own, as I have been renting, but now my boyfriend and I are looking at buying a house, and one of my first priorities will be to get chickens. Whether my boyfriend likes it or not, haha!

If you're looking to get chickens, BYC is the place to be.
Everyone here loves seeing pictures or peoples' birds. Chickens on the screen are almost as good as the real thing...

I love noticing the birds' personalities, it's one of the quirks of having them. You get to know them really well, I reckon
