Hi!
I've always wanted a "homestead" & am new to chickens.
A friend at work is giving me 6 (most allowed by city ordinance) but 1st I have to build a coop

Thank you all, glad to be here.
I'd rather build a coop but there's a local one on crails list may work well & get me up & running quickly.
Is there any risk of disease from used coops?

Hi Mike! I am fairly new to chickens myself. I am a woodworker so I endeavored to build our coop. I looked at literally thousands of pictures of various coop designs and then designed and built ours. Pictures of ours are in my gallery. There are many designs but I would highly recommend building it yourself. It is very rewarding.
