(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We started our flock around 7 years ago
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? We have 30 adult and 27 baby chicks along with 7 adult silkie chickens and about 10 baby silkies
(3) What breeds do you have? Rhode Idlands, Ausrolorpe, Jersey Giant, Auracana and white Silkies
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? love having the eggs of course
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I also have a large greenhouse
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am disabled and have rescue dogs, 5 rescue cats, 2.5 rescued cows (momma is pregnant) and 3 rescued tree squirrels. My daughter is a Vet Tech so that is helpful
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
ever since I moved here and got chickens I have turned to BYC for all my questions like incubating, protect from predators, and have found an answer that was effective every time, so I want to say thank you for all the help that you didn't even know you were doing ! LOL !
