New member intro - Flagstaff, AZ

Howdy everybody. First time "urban farmer", two Buff Orps, two R.I. Reds ( but I have a suspicion that one is a rooster

), two Silver laced Wyandottes, and my special girl, a Jersey Giant. Just got my coop completed recently, but it still needs paint. I'll throw some pics up here soon, and look forward to everyone's feedback.

I'd be interested in seeing that Jersey Giant when it's big! Next year I might get one or two just for the novelty of owning a humungous chicken! This year I am raising nothing but Black Australorps, which are heavy chickens but not near as big as Jerseys. Mine were guaranteed to be hens, which cost me a bit more. Worth it, though because after some reading, I found that roosters are said to be poor egg-layers.
