New member Intro - Hello I raise quail!

Hello! My husband and I started raising coturnix quail about 3 months ago. My husband has chicken egg intolerances and he hadn't had an egg in 7 years until a friend mentioned quail eggs. We had tried duck eggs and that didn't work. Quail eggs were incredible! We jumped in with both feet and now have over 50 quail and 110 eggs in the incubator. My previous attempts at incubating caused bad hatch rates. I am learning and hopefully this hatch will be more successful. Looking forward to learning more!

I just collected these cute things five minutes ago.
Do you have a salt tested humidity gauge in your bator and are you keeping your humidity down around 30%? If not...I highly recommend both.

This is really good to know. I also have egg intolerances, both chicken and duck, and have been thinking of raising quail for the cuteness factor. This info may be what tips the scale (with my husband) in favour of getting them.
