I am new to chickens (but not to birds). My SO and I recently bought a small ranch property with a nice clean, secure coop on it so we decided to take the chicken plunge. I am already hooked. I have 4 chicks in the brooder (2 RIWs, 2 ISA Browns) and 2 young adults (Australorps) in the coop. I am just beginning this journey, but I love birds in general and raising chickens has always been a dream of mine. I also crochet, knit, spin, weave and cook. In addition, I work as a law firm administrator by day. My SO, Albert, and I both have grown children (6 between us...all girls), 2 grandchildren with another on the way (all boys). We are looking forward to spending our days playing with chickens and tending to our cache of citrus trees. We are also looking forward to being a part of this community!
