Hey there,
I hail from New Zealand, that's a long way from most folks in here, I think
I have just joined the group, and I come from a Province in NZ called Taranaki, which is where they filmed most of "The last Samurai Chicken" ooops Forget the chicken part!
Anyhow I'm Chickadee, or Shaz, I answer to either.
This is my Chicken, Splash. He/She is a cross between a Shaver and a British Araucana!
I hope he's a pullet, though I cannot tell, kinda hard to sex chickens if you do not know what you are looking for. He if hes a he isn't crowing yet, touch wood.
Ok So I will be around here a fair bit, as I am really into chickens, still trying to talk Hubby into making a tractor Chicken house. Oh in NZ we call the adults, Chooks. So if I refer to a Chook, that's just our lingo.
Happy to be here, hope to have some great convo's with ya'll.
Me up the mountain where I live, I can see it from my windows. I am wearing my Gumboots up there as it's easier when the snow melts and it's slippery. This is Mt Taranaki.
