1. Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We got our first chickens in February this year, this site has been incredibly helpful!
2. How many chickens do you have right now? We currently have 8 chickens
3. What breeds do you have?
   We have 2 RIRs, 2 Black Stars, and 4 bantams. Suspect bantams are 2 old English game, 1 golden neck d'uccle(?) and 1 white cochin.
4. How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
   Was looking for some answers on google which led me to your site. The site was also suggested by someone at tractor supply when we had a chick get sick.
5. Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Living outside city limits for the first time in my life and enjoying it to the fullest! Besides chickens we also have a daughter, 2 cats and 1 dog we rescued, and some fish! But always looking to rescue more

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock and/or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.
