Hello! I am a high school student that chose to raise chickens for my agricultural science class. I currently have six jersey giants I hatched myself in April. Before getting these birds, I knew nothing about chickens. I loaded myself with hours of research and felt confident enough to raise some chickens! In the past 6 or so months, I’ve been led back to this website multiple times due to Google searches about what was happening with my chickens.

I've never had giants. (I've heard they don't do well in my hot, humid climate.) How is your ratio of pullets to cockerels? What kind of temperament do your males have? I would love to see pictures of your flock!
