New Member Intro

Not sure where the reply I was working on went to. I am new to group also. Live in central Texas we use misters on the fence line to help cool them off. I am raising Australorp, Americana, Rhode Island Reds and I have some cross breeds as well as guinea hens. I had a large breasted turkey but we recently had to put him down due to a leg injury. The vet was very surprised he had made it as long as he did. Will get another turkey but since we do not eat the birds we raise, will get a heritage breed. Why turkey? because the tom will go after your rooster if he gets to rough with the hens. I am 71 years young now. Hello the group
