New member intro

I'm not totally new reading chicken raising. Sorry for my English ( Hungarian out of Budapest)
Serving in Japan as a missionary since long years.
I did hatch in the past in handmade incubator, what interestingly worked.
Had sometimes 5,4, but most of the time one single hen.
One of our adopted son's head rests adter snow shoveling; his hat was warmer than the ice cold concrete.
She was a so called " Gotou 33" Japanes breed.
Very docile, amazing connection; never did run away; left alone for a while didn't exit from the perimeter of our limited land, ever.
Died of old age in peace without any sufferings.

Raising backyard chickens for me is to fellowship with a great pet; not necessarily for eggs, but in these dire times won't hurt regular fresh ( healthy)eggs.
Yesterday before the failure I purchased a bigger bag of food for grownup chickens and I had to sign, giving my home address and phone number. This kind of control is new, and I don't like it.
Price also was surprisingly high.

Loosing the two recently hatched sweet little chickens made us to mourn.
My family too ( we have two boys and two girls our own children as well, and a granddaughter, is a she..)

I did find BYC during hatching; had some questions for I didn't did it from at least 8-9 years.
Those informations helped me a lot; thankful!!

I decided to join this great community despite my disastrous English.
Life doesn't stop here with this ( thermostat) failure; after sinister rain the sun will surely shine again.
Need to learn more.
Thank you.
