Silkies are adorable! They are such a friendly breed.

As it turns out since I made this post, 3 of them are cockerels I was unsure about one and posted him here after this post to inquire - and he also crowed this morning.

I have luckily (but sadly) already found a farm that is taking 2 of them this weekend! And we will keep the 3rd and our pullet and try to find some replacements.

As it turns out since I made this post, 3 of them are cockerels I was unsure about one and posted him here after this post to inquire - and he also crowed this morning.

I have luckily (but sadly) already found a farm that is taking 2 of them this weekend! And we will keep the 3rd and our pullet and try to find some replacements.

Now that I refuse to allow them to be broody, they've gotten so much prettier! I just use a huge dog kennel on the opposite side of the yard. They can live there for the four days it takes to break them.
