Hello, I’m new here but I have been getting answers to my google questions from this site for a long time. So I decided to sign up for this site. I own a small poultry farm in Kentucky. We have around 60-80 chickens, 30-40 ducks, and 4 adult geese and one gosling. We started our farm in September of 2022 with 12 RIR chicks. We have Sebastopol geese which I breed and sale. We have Cayuga, khaki Campbell, Rouen, Muscovy, Harleequin, and swistish blue ducks that we hatch mix’s of every now and then but the ducks are mostly for fun. I have around 20 free range chickens that range from a dozen different breeds. They are my test birds to see what breeds I like enough to make pens to breed. My breeding pens are chocolate Orpingtons, faverolles, and chocolate silkies. My favorite breed is Orpingtons and favorite color is chocolate. My favorite part of my farm is how much they help me with my mental illness. When I’m having a bad day I just go out and mess with my birds. My geese a definitely my favorite they will come to me and chew on my shoes and pants plus they talk to me. I am married we have decided we will not have children but we do have 6 dogs that we have rescued. My husband owns a lawn care business and I work at a safety boot store. I have been using this site for help with my birds for a few years. Seems like every issue I have, someone here has had the same issue. I am excited to post questions and see what I can learn from like minded individuals.
