Hi Everyone,
My name is Jane and I am a new member to BYC. I do not have my own chickens YET, but I would like to learn about them before I take the actual step to have my own.
I found this site by accident and when I saw it was in regard to learning about and raising chickens, I joined immediately as I have had the opportunity to take care of chickens while house sitting at various times.
I currently live in Ohio (originally from New York) in a small apartment and make my living making (20+ years) and selling natural herbal, spice and milk soaps that I make from scratch. My goals are to have my own home on my own land and that includes gardening (which I love) and raising chickens for eggs as I also love cooking. I am also a handweaver and handspinner (almost 30 years), but that has been put aside in favor of my soap business.
I look forward to learning more on this site. Jane
