I've just started with chickens about a year and a half ago. I have 9 hens, 4 Dominiques, 3 Golden Comets and 2 Buff Orpingtons, and I LOVE them all!!! I had no idea it would be so relaxing to just sit and watch them! I have used this site many times to learn things and am SO grateful for the advice! Other than the fact that one of my Dominiques has begun "mounting" my other girls, things have gone without a hitch.

Sounds like you have a lovely flock. Those are some great breeds you have chosen to raise. I'm glad you are enjoying them so much.

Chicken TV sure is awesome, isn't it?! Relaxing yet entertaining. LOL I love watching my girls as well.

As far as your dominiques mounting the other hens, don't worry about this behavior. It's quite normal. Dominate hens will often mount other hens to confirm their dominance.
