Good morning:

I stumbled onto this site looking for a place to obtain Muscovy ducks that I used to raise in Greenville, NC, in 2005. At the beginning of this year we moved to Monticello, Arkansas, when my wife accepted an offer of tenured professor of agriculture and chancellor. I am a retired air force officer whose hobbies in the past have been making bow ties as well as raising Purple Martins and Muscovy ducks, including two Chinese Geese..

My sewing room is about set up and I am about ready to begin making bow ties. And last spring I had a Martin Colony built and installed albeit a bit too late to attract Purple Martins last a year. Hopefully they will inhabit the colony within the next few weeks even though it has normally taken me two years for Scouts to arrive. In addition, I have discovered nearby lakes and ponds into which I have been thinking about introducing mature Muscovy ducks -- assuming I can do so legally?

So my questions have to do with determining the closest breeders from whom I might purchase Muscovy ducks and the legality of doing so.

Any advice from members would be welcome. Thank you.
