(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes, I’m new to chickens. My 10 year old grandson got 2 chickens a month ago. He is so excited about them. Now his Mom has gotten interested. They have asked me questions about raising them and I figured this is a good site to learn all about them.

(3) What breeds do you have? New Hampshire Red
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? We’re just fascinated with watching them and getting to know their personalities.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Singing, playing piano and guitar, reading, and playing with my twin grandsons who will be 2 next week.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Grandma, son and his wife, 10 year old grandson and twin 2 year old grandsons, black lab named Bear, and 2 cats.
