Oh no, I'm glad you are ok!! What ski area did you go to? New Mexico sure has some magnificent scenery, truly enchanting. Are you in the panhandle of Oklahoma? I love the grasslands in that part of the state.

Actually no I'm Southwest of OKC. We were in Cloudcroft. Then spent New Years Eve in Alamogordo.

Oh wow, we frequent Alamogordo quite often! We are up in the mountains north of Ruidoso and find that often we need to shop in a real town to get standard goods. Cloudcroft is so pretty!

Oh wow, we frequent Alamogordo quite often! We are up in the mountains north of Ruidoso and find that often we need to shop in a real town to get standard goods. Cloudcroft is so pretty!

I thought that whole area was gorgeous! I loved the little shops in Cloudcroft. I live in a tiny town myself, we say if it weren't for the oilfield workers we'd have a population of 100. LOL I think we even have one of the last Walmarts before they became super centers.

Welcome from the Great White North.
We have a small parcel of land (36.5 acres). My husband is also retired and now trying to get into permaculture. We just got our chickens this spring and now he is talking about goats. Unfortunately, we do not have anywhere to shelter them at the moment so that has to come first. Glad you joined us!
