(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No, I am not new to chickens. I had gotten my own chickens for my school somewhere around March 2020 that were delivered from Iowa. However, I had been interacting with chickens before.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Around 30 chickens or so.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Buff Polish, Brahma, Wyandotte, and Cornish
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Honestly, it is very entertaining to watch how your own chickens grow just from 2 days old chicks. Watching how they learn to do things on their own and play around with the other chickens is absolutely adorable!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I am part of a agriculture organization that goes by the name FFA aka Future Farmers of America. I am the lead of animal committee meaning I purchase and take care of the animals in our program. I had rescued 6 rabbits and cared for many chickens, all were prepared for competition. I also enjoy listening to varieties of music and learning/watching wildlife and nature.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I am the oldest child in my family, with a little brother. Unfortunately, I do not have any cousins, aunts, or uncles. My grandparents from my mother's side live in Lithuania and from my father's side live in Ukraine. I own 2 pets, one Muscovy Duck and another American orange tabby cat. I don't really have an occupation due to COVID-19, however I try my best to keep myself focused on outdoors. I would absolutely love to work inside the animal field. My goal is to become either a zoologist or a marine biologist.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
I found BYC just from researching about chicken problems. My small chicks were suffering from nutrition deficiency and I had no idea what to do. I've known BYC for around 9 months or so. I joined this community because I had noticed how much I've used this website for my own problems, my experience in these problems and chickens in general could possibly help others!
