(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I got my first chicks on 4/17/21 (8 Barred Rock) then 2 more on 5/11/21 (no idea what they are!)
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 10
(3) What breeds do you have? 8 Barred Rock and 2 Mystery Chicks!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Having company in the yard and keeping the ticks down!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Vegetable Gardening.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am a Social Worker and am married to a man from Guyana- who grew up raising/growing his own food. I have a cat & a dog (though I've had hundreds of pets from horses to Guinea Pigs). I have grown step children and young nieces & nephews.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
