Thanks! I'm looking forward to it. But I have yet to figure out the predator situation in VA. In NH my husband put in a 6 inch concrete footer so the fisher cats & weasels would be deterred from digging their way in. Not sure if we have to do that here. I'm considering placing a camera to see what wanders nearby. Or might spend a night camping in the barn. That would be exciting to an 8 year old!

Hello! I've raised chickens for meat & eggs off & on for years and now my 8 year old grandson wants to raise some for eggs. I'm new to Virginia so I'm looking forward to warmer Winters than we had in NH.
