I am a city-raised person who moved to the country 20 years ago. I wanted to have some land and animals, which I now do... and love it. Mostly I have fowl-- chickens (usually layers), ducks, guineas, turkeys, and geese.

Welcome! We have chickens and ducks, but I might like to try quail! Where are your quail??? Would love to see pics, sounds like a wonderful flock! You came to the right place.

I was also raised in the city / suburbs (in Ohio as well), but my dad always kept a large garden. I'm glad we can raise some animals now too, it's a wonderful thing for the kids to experience, I think.
