Good Morning,
I'm new to chickens, kinda. I got my first chickens by offering to baby sit some chicks while a friend had an emergency. She was out of pocket for a month, and i fell in love with the birds so I just never gave them back
. So, now I have 28 total and my husband has put his foot down...NO MORE CHICKENS!
I live in Texas and am a retired grandmother. Right now it is so stinking hot here.
I have my original nine, not sure if they are a specific breed, but who cares right? I also have 5 Cochin Bantams ( the tractor Supply lady said they were sex-links, she was wrong) but by the time I found out that they were not I had already fell head over heels with them.
5 Copper Marans and 4 Naked Necks, 2 speckled sussex, 1 cuccoo Maran, and two easter eggers.
