Never have I ever had chickens until 3 1/2 weeks ago

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Hopefully one day eating fresh eggs! Right now I am loving every part of being their mamma.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Going to concerts and live theatre, yoga, listening to great music while I mow
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I live in South Texas on 25 acres in a teeny tiny town population 300! Four of our five children live here in Texas. We have one son in CT that is about to make us grandparents for the 7th time!!!!!!!
We also have a sweet rescue dog named Roxie and 2 rescue cats named Annamarie and 3.

On October 23 I found a tiny cate all busted up on a farm to market road called
333, we took him to the vet and he had high of 103,

i found him on 10/23/23 all busted up on a road called 333. He had 103 degrees of fever and weighed 3.3 pounds. He had to have 3 stitches in his mouth. We were told to bring him back in 3 days. Then we paid our bill of 3 hundred dollars! and that my friends is how 3 got his name!

Wow! Best story ever about how any animal got its name! That's amazing! Most would have called him "Lucky" but 3 is perfect! :love
