Hello all! I'm new to this website and have found it to be helpful in the past when dealing with issues with my chickens. I have 6 currently. 5 hens and 1 rooster. They're a barnyard mix. The rooster is part Amaracona. All quite spoiled. :) I love them to death and also, have a broody hen as of now which I'm excited about! I want to be a veterinarian someday but am happy doing plenty of research. I'm sadly dealing with blackhead disease among my flock. I'm going to order a dewormer from my vet and hopefully that'll fix the problem. I have no turkeys. So, quite strange! The vet said he hadn't had a case of this disease in years.

Welcome to BYC! Sorry you're dealing with blackhead, I know all too well how difficult it is to treat. :hugs

Cool that you want to be a vet. Maybe you'll be an avian vet seems like they are hard to find. Good luck with school and your chickens.
