Hello BYC community, I live in Taiwan and currently have an 11 month old chicken. I keep the chicken at the balcony.
I found out this site just because my friend was talking about how to train dogs, so I was thinking about the same thing about chicken.

This is the place to be when you own chickens! And yes, they are very smart and can be trained to do certain things. A few of my girls know their names, hop up on my lap when I pat on my leg, and one of them has learned that when I am out in the run and the wind is blowing, she can sneak out the door of the coop when it blows open and go free ranging! LOL She stands there in the coop and waits for it to open while the others are following me around in the run. Pretty smart bird.
