im new to inner net groups, soooo I hope i am putting this in the right place..? HI YOU ALL, IM new here, a CHICKEN & ANIMAL LOVER , (1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? my family had chcikens before i was born , so yeah thats been most all my life, ....lol... : )
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 15 that are still peeping
(3) What breeds do you have? i have 4 new Hampshire reds 14 weeks , 4 barred rocks 12 weeks & 7 silver laced whyandotts 9 weeks old (4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? on line on face book i think...??
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I make hand made jewelry out of turquoise & copper, on my days off , plus i am an artist in other mediums as well, I am married to my darling hubby John he is a builder of custom motor coaches , we travel in our 1950's custom coach & live in a copper town in southern AZ ,
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I work for the police as an investigator, of missing children & murder , I raised Secretariat blood lines race horses &champion Arabian horses on my 350 acre horse farm in new england, along with breeding pure bred champion English Mastiffs all for 30 years .have been a midwife for human babies, horses, dogs , cats , goats, cows & most all farm animals ,I raised 5 kids by my self after their father died, back in the 1970's , all are doing really well , I have 18 grand children & 3 great grand children , my main interest is all about nature & living a natural life in harmony with all beings & teaching as a minister in a nature based church, i love to rock hound ,and go on adventures , I have a tiny hairless dog { little bits} who is 14, she is a breed from Mexico called a XOLO the dog of the mayan god of the dead..! the right dog for me since i deal in death quit a lot, plus we have one parrot Polly wally 40 years old & several wild cats I have taken in, along with several rescued bunnies and one rescued dog, a med size mixed breed we took in after the owner had died, none of our animals will ever live in cages , even the bunnies are roaming free as God intended , as all my chickens will and of course i love chickens they are amazing & smart , its strange most people dont realize that..? i have a lot more to share , people tell me i should write a book I have lived a very colorful life so far. i say i dont have the time for any of that, maybe some day if i ever retire..? ....lol... its good to know all of you, take care & may god bless Dianna : )
