Currently I have no chickens, just trying to learn about caring for some.

My grandmother raised Peacocks and Guinea birds.
It was very interesting to me.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

Don’t know yet.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Photography, painting, gardening, landscaping, making music.

Senior Electronics Engineering Technician.

I had a beautiful German Shepherd I’m lucky. Who is my best buddy. Due to health issues and had to put him down about two months ago .

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

I’ve been following BYC for sometime, now. Joined to be able to ask questions.

Hello, James, and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
So sorry for the loss of your dog. It's very difficult to make the decision to end a life when it's in the best interest of the dog to do it. It still hurts terribly.
Good luck on your learning adventure and future flock. Chickens can be wonderful heart therapy.
