Greetings!
I'm a recent retiree in western Arkansas and I'm ready to start raising some chickens. I know I want to raise them for eggs. Not sure about raising them for meat. I'm hoping to learn from others.
In addition to learning more about chickens, I'm an avid gardener who grows all kinds of vegetables and I've expanded my garden a lot since retiring this spring.
I'm married to my spouse of 35 (almost 36) years. He is also retired. We have two dogs and five cats (currently). We always seem to be finding more.

Congrats on your retirement!

We use 1/2" hardware cloth for pens and anywhere else to keep predators out, but for our garden, it's surrounded with chicken wire, one of the few things it's good for. :)
