Writing goals

One of the fun things I blasted some time on ago a couple days ago was to get all of my current projects (including writing) and put them on a spreadsheet, along with whether or not I've started the project, if I've suspended it, or if it's complete, along with a reason the project is suspended or complete. Since I started writing about my motherboard, I need to "active" it.

I just realized I can add a deadline to it as well so I have the motivation to finish it and everything else on the list.
That sounds like a good plan. If you do drop downs, you can see them via color so it's easier to track them.

I created myself a fun little challenge.
I don't like cooking food because I'm too impatient, so I tend to avoid eating things that take too long even if I really want it.
So, I decided while my food was cooking, instead of focusing on how long it was taking. I set up my laptop and a timer for how ever many minutes till I wanted to check the food again, and then made it writing time 😌 Makes the time go much faster and you only have to do very small chunks of writing.
The timer is very much needed if you're prone to getting stuck in your writing and forgetting that you're cooking 😭

That's some good Efficient Time Usage there. When I cook I tend to just float around the kitchen.

My food almost always ends up burnt because I want it to cook so fast I put it on a temperature that is way too high

I was able to write and edit 1,000 words over 2 days. I really, really don't like editing, which doesn't pair well with wanting to write full-length novels, but I used a pomodoro timer to get through it in 20-minute bursts. No distractions during that window! It's too easy to be like, "Oh, I'll just pop into BYC for a few minutes, or check my email" etc, etc.

It's only 4mins at this stage but there's still a lot I want to add so...
Was that your coop one? I really enjoyed reading that one.
My topic is the infamous house chicken  I always get heavily invested in at least reading those threads and feel like I get a good unique position. I can present that idea to the chicken people here and be met with a ton of negativity and I can present the exact same thing to my indoor bird owning friends and get almost the exact opposite response. I want to collect information of both sides basically and put it all together neatly without all the arguing that tends to happen on the threads.
Ooo. I happened to remember something about house chickens that is a particular pain point in my life right now. One of CC's chickens gets brought in at night since it had a bad molt and didn't regrow its feathers. Problem is, it sleeps in that bedroom, and as a result it smells like poop in there. To me that's a health concern as well.
