...Just received 150' of 6' chicken netting for my future run...
Any chance you can send that back and get hardware cloth instead (aka 1/4 or 1/2 inch welded cage wire) ? The netting is typically flimsy and will break relatively easily, plus the holes are large enough for a raccoon to get its paws through the wire and decapitate your flock, snakes to waltz right in and make their home in your nesting boxes, mice and rats would be totally undeterred, many animals could easily snap the wire by biting it.. it's meant to keep chickens IN, but doesn't do much to keep critters OUT... You get the idea. The 1/4 inch hardware cloth has the smallest holes, would be rather sturdy, but will likely cost the most. The 1/2 inch hardware cloth is considered the happy medium in durability, reliability, and cost. Make certain to buy galvanized, as you don't want to be hanging fresh wire every few years. You'll more than pay yourself back the cost difference by not needing to do the work again.
The hardware cloth can easily be attached to wood framing with galvanized U-shaped nails or even galvanized fencing staples.
