hi my name is jamie just joined byc but have been looking at it for awhile i live in candler nc and raise a few different breeds of chickens such as bcm , double laced blue and black barnevelder, glodlaced orps and jubilee orps. i am npip certified. i look foward to joining in on conversations now so thanks byc

Welcome to BYC, Jamie. Glad you decided to our flock. Sounds like you have a lovely flock. Orpingtons are a wonderful breed. I've raised them for years, and they are hardy, calm and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of them), and good layers of large brown eggs. Where eggs are concerned, I love the chocolate eggs of the Marans. In my opinion, they are the prettiest eggs in the chicken wordl. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
