Hey there. I'm in N AZ, about halfway between Williams and the Grand Canyon. Started with Rhode Island reds in April (got 4, 3 survived) as a trial run. Will get some more next spring when I will have a better idea what I'm doing. Our predator situation here is on the more savage side, and our winter temps can get and stay in the teens. Raising for eggs. One started laying a month ago (1 egg every morning between 9-10, very disciplined bird!) And another laid their first egg at some point last night. Hoping to add this forum as another resource when questions come up and I can't find an answer online.
