Hi, I have 3 chickens in my garden, free range and spoilt!
One of them has developed this....

Every time I clean them out I use mite powder, and have not seen any in the house. Please help

We're glad you're here.

It looks like your hen may have been picked on. You can apply some Blu-Kote or Pick-No-More to hide the redness. Watch their behavior to see if another hen is picking or if she is doing this to herself.
