Howdy everyone!

My wife and I are working on our coop, and our first order of chicks will be here Friday....can't wait! City boy, but we live on the edge of town, decided with our daughter married, and out of the house, we need a little something to do, my wife was surprised, by my idea of chickens, but loves the idea.

We decided to go with Buff Orpingtons, for our first hens, based on a little research, I think they'll be good starter reed.I've got 10 ten ordered, and a few slikies, for the wife ; )

I'll doubtless be here asking some questions, that have already been asked a million times, please be patient with me! you folks seem like wonderful, helpful people

Hi everybody. I have decided to join your beautiful platform all the way from Juba in the Republic of South Sudan, a two-year old nation. I expect to learn from you and interact with your wealth of knowledge, skills and experience. Here in my country, almost all we know is the backyard chickens raised for both food and fun. Should feel welcome guys?
