(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes! I'm new to anything other than horses (had 80-130 depending on season) and dogs (usually had at least 4 got over 20 once growing up and have 21 now if anyone is looking for a 6ish month pup lol!)

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
9 hens and 4 roos plus 7 new ones that I only know 1 hen and 1 roo. Also have a pair of turkeys, pair of geese and some unknown genders of ducks. May add pigeons, quail, pheasants, swans, guineas and peacocks.

(3) What breeds do you have?
The unknown 5 plus hen and roo are silkies. Came sick and with mites. Corid and Diatomaceous Earth so far. The other breeds I'm not sure. Maybe a couple Orpingtons, speckled Sussex, barred something

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Watching the way they interact, seeing them healthy, learning all sorts of hidden secrets that seem so well known to others and of course... The EGGS. And now we're incubating our first several batches!!!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
My two boys Relek (4 years) and Rayden (2.5 years) thinking about adding another if I can get off my Vyvanse and Cymbalta! (It's been a disaster trying so far). Then done with the Kyleena!
My husband and other animals (grouped that way on purpose 😉) are the next on the list! My horse, some different kinds of goats (2 baby pygmy's!) And a sheep, bunnies, cats and the afore mentioned birds and dogs 🤦🏽‍♀️ (a friend came with his preggo dog and wasn't able to care for them.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

Oh, oops lol! Stay at home mom, but may start working part time with a friend on her cleaning business OR with my hubby at the energy research center.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
Google search! May have come across it before. I went to answer a thread and was prompted to join! I have sick silkies and came looking for help!
