Running a small 14 hen/1 rooster flock. A hen went broody but of course in an elevated box so any chicks leaving actual box means about a 2 ft plus drop...at what point can we move eggs/chicks w/out ruining the set?

! Pleased you joined our flock! I have no idea on your question. I know wood duck chicks fall a great distance from hollow trees when they leave the nest so maybe 2 feet is okay? But don't go by me! Good luck to you!
