(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? My family had chickens when I was young but they weren’t pets. I got my family 6 black australorps and 10 prairie bluebell eggers a little over two months ago.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 16

(3) What breeds do you have? 2

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? The peace they bring me.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, reading, and food truck festivals.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have two kids, the younger loves the chicks, but the older id a bit afraid of them.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? It kept popping up in my google searches for how to care for chickens.
