Hello forum.
I'm not new to chickens but I had different reasons for picking up what I think are 6 Rhode Island Reds from TSC yesterday.
I have a small hobby farm, and when the last of my bantams died of old age -- lol I have missed having chickens on the place.
I also wanted to go for more eggs and meat than I had before. SOoo... I grabbed a few yesterday to get started.
for now they are in a large tote with brooder light. But I'm going to be moving them outside later to the pen I kept the bantams in over night.
I'm going to need to build or improvise nest boxes and do some snake preventive measures.
I'll be lurking around.
