Hello everyone, i've recently become interested in possibly keeping chickens in the future. At the moment i am only trying to learn as much as possible. I have a concreted hardstand at the back of my property that is no longer used for parking. One of my first questions would be, does this need to be broken up or can it be adapted intact as it is?

Please be gentle with me, i am very new to this... 🫣🙂

thanks in advance

Hello! Welcome to BYC! If the concrete is in decent shape it would make a great floor for a coup with some bedding of course! 🙂

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

I think concrete is great as animals can't dig into your coop! You'd be putting straw, sand, horse bedding pellets, or some type of layer down on the ground so it wouldn't bother the chickens feet that way.
