Hello Everyone! I'm a new member, but not new to the site. My husband and I have referred to this site often with our many chicken questions. In December of 2013 we inherited 4 chickens when we moved into our new rental. We knew nothing about chickens. Since then our girls (Betty a rhode island red, Pepper who we think is a silver laced wyandotte, Duck a white ameraucana, and Ganja a brown and black ameraucana) have been happy, healthy and laying. This last March we decided to add to our little flock. We got a golden sex link chick (Cheryl) and a Plymouth barred rock chick (Lana). They are now over 14 weeks old and getting super big! We live in a small town and let our chicken roam our backyard. We love feeding them healthy treats and enjoy watching them, we never thought chickens would be so entertaining. My husband and I both work full time, and we are currently building a house and will be taking our chickens with us. I have a few questions now and I will probably have more to come!
