I was looking up if you can feed chickens nuts and came across this site. I don't ever remember it in my research on chickens. Lots to explore here! Love the Gallery of pics of chickens so I can try to figure out what kind these are of my daughters that I have come to take care of, myself, recently. I bookmarked it, explored a little and decided to join. I'm not sure what a "thread" is here though, and I'm not real tech savvy, but I'm learning. She's had them close to a year. There are 5 laying hens and one rooster. I didn't see in the listing how to look up what kind the rooster is. I think 3 of them are Leghorns, they are white and not real big, don't know about the rooster (looks like a Rhode Island Red, has shiny dark brown body with black tale feathers and tall, but in the description it told what kind of eggs they have, so now I'm not sure). The other two could either be Red Sex, Link, Rodeo Lane, New Hampshire, Orpington or Star. One is full/fluffy and a golden orange color, the other is dark brown with black on its wings, also kinda full. So, I'm still exploring the pics Gallery. Thanks for this site, it's very informative!
