Hi there!

I am new to this website but I have been raising chicken for 15 years. One of my oldest living chickens is 10 years old and counting. She is a Welsummer and going strong like a spring chicken!

However, I have never had a sick chicken until now. I have a sweet Buff Orpington who is pretty sick. She is eight years old and means a lot to me. I would appreciate it if you could take a couple minutes to read about her and tell me your opinion or if you had had experience with something like this.

Thank you so much! <3

Have you posted in detail on the "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures", thread? Her
health conditions are far beyond my realm of knowledge. Do you have a avian vet you could take her to?

Welcome to BYC! It's easy to get attached to sweet, gentle breeds like Buff Orpingtons. My children, and now my granddaughter made pets of them. I hope she recovers.
