These are my babies. I was told they are teenagers not quite mature. Billy is my white rooster and Jean is my black hen. I'm wondering since winter is on the way will one heat lamp in my new wooden chicken coop be enough? They're so delicate I'm worried. Here's the unfinished coop.

I have a silkie but when it gets bigger it looses all of the baby feathers and grow the big puffy ones and you have two blue silkies they lay tiny blue eggs and sense you have a rooster he will fertilize them and baby chicks will hatch so you don't need to buy more chickens. I hope this helps. So need to fear about buying more chickens or the more fluffy ness.
 
I have the same kind of chicken its a blue silkie they lay tiny blue eggs and they will loose all of the baby feathers and grow fluffy ones. I hope this helps.
