Jan from KY saying Hi to all. I have 8 baby chicks and one hen. I did have two hens but one just died and I am not for sure why, she was just fine the day before (I thought). She was one of my oldest hens. I'm thinking she was around 7 years old, maybe older. I've been updating my chicken coop to expand it for my 8 new chicks. I'm glad to be a new member and love all the information I can get from BYC.
