Hello!
New here and look forward to reading and learning more about Chickens, I have three , All Hen's.
They are white except one seems to have some light brown on her, They are young, Acquired right before
Easter, No name's since two are so identical I know I can't tell them apart . We just started letting them run
Around the yard, However we are going to add a pen for them for their own safety , I do feed them scratch but
They do not seem too interested in it. They seem to like grasshopper's and moths around the lawn, And corn on the
Cob, I do give them freeze dried meal worms as a treat. We live in Northern Nevada which is quite cold most of the year
And just past two days we have had some sunshine, I have owned other's in the past and find they are quite smart .
The lightly brown one does not mind being picked up and pet, The other two not so much , I only have mine as pets and for
Egg's. I think of all my pet's as family and do not plan to place them on the dinner table.
Thank you for allowing me to join and will watch for tips on raising healthy chickens .
